01About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Formulation Chemist to lead R&D on our Liquid Rubber® product family. This is a hands-on position — you'll formulate new variants, optimize existing recipes, validate them in our QC lab, and own the scale-up process to plant production.
You'll work directly with our Head of R&D and partner closely with the plant production and QC teams. You'll have real ownership: your formulations will ship in branded drums to customers in 37+ countries.
02What You'll Do
- Develop new and improved formulations for waterproofing & corrosion-protection coatings
- Run lab-scale tests across adhesion, elongation, chemical resistance, UV exposure and cure profile
- Translate lab results into batch-production recipes; supervise scale-up to plant-scale runs
- Maintain our raw-material approval system — sourcing audits, vendor qualification, alternatives
- Author Technical Datasheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for new products
- Contribute to patent filings and IP strategy as we expand the product line
03You Should Have
- 5+ years of formulation chemistry experience — coatings, adhesives, sealants or specialty polymers preferred
- Hands-on familiarity with water-based polymer systems, emulsion/dispersion chemistry, or elastomeric coatings
- Working knowledge of ASTM test methods (D412, D903, D2240, G155) and ISO equivalents
- Comfort with lab-to-plant scale-up workflows
- Strong technical writing — you'll author TDS and lab reports regularly
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
04Nice to Have
- Experience with industrial corrosion-protection coatings for refineries / petrochemicals
- Patent filings, technical publications, or industry conference presentations
- Direct prior experience scaling a formulation from prototype to commercial production
